Springtime New England Mansion Wedding

Spring afternoons in New England are a volatile bunch. One day, it’ll be raining buckets, temperatures in the forties and windy as all get out. Then the next, the sun is shining brightly, a crisp cool air is blowing through the newly budded flowers, giving you an all around damn near perfect day.

Amanda and Piotr were treated to one of the latter this past weekend as they exchanged vows and started off their lives together as husband and wife. It was beautiful out! Everything in bloom, warm, sunny, no humidity…about as perfect as a day can get, weather-wise. 🙂
It was my first time at the Gallaher Mansion in Norwalk, CT, a stunning estate in the middle of Cranbury Park, surrounded by woods and an 18-hole frisbee golf course (didn’t even know that was a thing!). The ceremony was held under a canopy of trees, including this massively ancient one (no clue what kind it was, I can’t even keep a cactus alive) and the reception took place in the tent set up on the mansion’s patio.
The atmosphere during the reception was great, as were the nine-dozen donuts Amanda and Piotr brought over for dessert! The DJ did a phenomenal job getting the crowd excited and on the dance floor, having all the ladies sing and the guys walk the catwalk, he even serenaded the newlyweds!

And the light…oh, the light. It was glorious, dude. The farther along the day went, the more wonderful everything looked. Amanda and Piotr are quiet, laid-back and perhaps a teensy bit on the shy side, but how much they loved each other is super evident in front of my camera. They were totes adorbs, incredibly in love and just a real, genuine pleasure to photograph.

So check out some of my very favorite photos and leave them some love and well-wishes in the comments section!

Cheers,

I just love big, old windows and gorgeous light!

I am obsessed with this photo, Amanda is so beautiful. ♥♥♥

I am a sucker for First Looks, the anticipation, the hugs and tears, always makes for terrific images!
↓ One kickass part of getting married in spring? The pink flowering trees everywhere!

This tree though.

My buddy Sarah spotted this sweet little nook…so pretty!

They said ‘I do’!

Emotional speeches, and lots of laughs.
Naked cakes. I dig it because frosting isn’t my jam! 😉

The littlest, most adorable guest at the wedding ♥

  1. so glad you photographed our daughter’s wedding! not a bad shot anywhere & you captured every moment so well. I could go on complimenting you, but your work does a better job speaking to that than I can. LauraDURunFNBlivable!
