New Studio Space! Welcome to the Jungalow =)

We moved!

A few months ago, the hubby opened up a Farmer’s Insurance Agency in North Haven, and I took over the second floor as my new studio space.
We worked hard, and with a budget of about eleven cents, we transformed a ho-hum office in to what we now affectionately refer to as The Jungalow.
It is an eclectic mix of furniture I’ve amassed from Goodwill, antique shops and Craigslist, this dope, DOPE mirror I scored for $50, lots of white paint and a bunch of really colorful area rugs. Oh, and did I mention the vintage 1960’s bar we put in there?? Or the cork board wall full of memories and happiness in our office area? How about those beautiful big canvases hanging up everywhere?

But mostly, THAT BAR!!

Take a peek through our progress photos, and at my cellphone snaps of the final result. And hopefully, come see it for yourself sometime soon!

Cheers,

We started with drab dark blue carpet and beige walls.

We spent. so. much. time. painting. Everything. Walls, ceiling, floors. But it was so worth it 🙂

Some of my kickass Craigslist finds: the vintage bar and gold coffee table.

The end result! Though…since taking these, I have bought more fun stuff and made the space even better 🙂
