Mother’s Day Minis 2017

This Sunday is Mother’s Day, and last weekend I had some wonderful women over at the studio, along with their brood for some pretty photo-making.
I absolutely love all of the pictures we took, as well as the emotions which ran high at points, as daughters told their mothers just how much they loved one another, and why their mom was their most cherished person.
To celebrate all the kickass moms out there, here are a few of my favorite funny, sweet and honest quotes about mothers and what makes them, well, super-duper special. 🙂

“It’s a funny thing about mothers and fathers. Even when their own child is the most disgusting little blister you could ever imagine, they still think that he or she is wonderful.” —Roald Dahl

“Being a mother is an attitude, not a biological relation.” —Robert A. Heinlein

“Youth fades; love droops; the leaves of friendship fall; A mother’s secret hope outlives them all.” —Oliver Wendell Holmes

“Everybody wants to save the Earth; nobody wants to help Mom do the dishes.” —P.J. O’Rourke

“Through the blur, I wondered if I was alone or if other parents felt the same way I did — that everything involving our children was painful in some way. The emotions, whether they were joy, sorrow, love or pride, were so deep and sharp that in the end they left you raw, exposed and yes, in pain. The human heart was not designed to beat outside the human body and yet, each child represented just that — a parent’s heart bared, beating forever outside its chest.” —Debra Ginsberg

“It’d be cool if my kids could make something I actually want, like a bottle of wine, out of macaroni and glue.” —Stephanie McMaster

“When you’re a twerking mother, balance is really important because you don’t want to go too low and blow out your butt and bust your knee.” —Amy Poehler

“There’s no way to be a perfect mother and a million ways to be a good one.” —Jill Churchill

“She never quite leaves her children at home, even when she doesn’t take them along.” —Margaret Culkin Banning

“My mother’s menu consisted of two choices: Take it or leave it.” —Buddy Hackett

“The moment a child is born, the mother is also born. She never existed before. The woman existed, but the mother, never. A mother is something absolutely new.” —Rajneesh

“It’s not easy being a mother. If it were easy, fathers would do it.” —Dorothy, The Golden Girls.

↑ Thank you for being my biggest fan, my most passionate supporter, for telling me I can achieve anything I want in life.
